Getting Started
Welcome to Citation Creation! This guide will walk you through the basics of creating citations for your research papers, essays, and academic work.
Choose Your Citation Style
Select the citation style required by your instructor or publication. Common styles include APA (social sciences), MLA (humanities), Chicago (history), and more.
Select Your Source Type
Choose what type of source you're citing: website, book, journal article, newspaper, video, or podcast. Each source type has different required fields.
Enter Source Information
Provide the URL, ISBN, DOI, or manually enter the source details. Automatic lookup fills in the source details it can find.
Review & Copy
Review the generated citation, make any necessary edits, and copy it to your clipboard. Your citations are saved in your project for easy reference.
Export Your Bibliography
When you're ready, export your complete reference list to PDF, Word, BibTeX, RIS, or plain text. Your formatted bibliography is ready to paste into your paper or import into a reference manager.
